Here's a little treat to start off with...
This photograph is the result of a kind of evolution. In fact, the final stage it reached can not be posted on the internet - because it is somewhat 3D. After the stage of the image as presented above, I had separated the image into the primary colors. Printed the blue out translucent, printed the red out slightly smaller transparent, and printed the yellow out even slightly smaller than the red transparent. Then mounted them in a box I made so that each layer is spaced evenly, while all lined up, and it could have light from the back. The result is when you position yourself to line up each color of the image, your eyes become so confused as to where the layers are in space that your brain begins to make assumptions that the space is defined by the size of the spots within the image - and you seem to see the curvature of the face, etc., depicted in the image.
